The LEDsafari lamp is a low cost MIY (Make-it-yourself) solar lamp that uses a small solar panel (0.5 W) to convert energy from the sun, store it in a battery and use it to power an LED bulb.
The LEDsafari lamp is a low cost MIY (Make-it-yourself) solar lamp.
LEDsafari has various kits: basic solar kits, sensor based kits, Arduino kits to program your own solar house. These kits are available for schools and individuals.
Basic lamp kit
Magnetic sensor kit (Hall sensor)
Distance sensor (IR sensor)
Light sensor (Using solar panel as light sensor)
Design solar home system using LEDsafari kits
Teaches Arduino coding , electronics and design
Learn
Through our teachings, students learn and subsequently apply solar technology theories by assembling an electrical circuit using the LEDsafari kit and placing it in a personalised lamp body made of recycled material. Along with the knowledge and application, this process allows them to take away an experience and creation that carries their very own stamp.
